American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE)

The City College Chapter of ASEE was founded during the Fall of 2010, with the mission of improving undergraduate engineering education and attracting the highest quality engineering students from local high schools and to promote engineering scholarship and research among college students. We encourage all students to aim high, work hard to keep excellent academic performance, and participate actively in scientific research and engineering design. We help all engineering students to graduate with the knowledge, skill, and confidence to pursue research in the STEM fields so they can solve problems of national interest.  In otder to broaden the scope of interest in engineering fields within the academic community, one goal of this student chapter is to develop relationships with local schools (K-12) to encourage students to pursue careers in engineering from an early age, and to educate engineering students on research opportunities. Since inception, ASEE at CCNY has hosted various workshops to accomplish this mission.

American Society of Engineering Education is dedicated to the cause of helping and motivating students in excel in the engineering fields. Through its various programs, ASEE has helped students succeed in

engineering and it will continue to do so. It is the engineering principals, lessons learned and provided through these outreach activities that ASEE promotes.
