Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES)

The Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) Student Chapter at the City College of New York has been established since 1994. Biomedical Engineering is an interdisciplinary research practice that utilizes other engineering skills as well as physical and mathematical concepts to solve problems in medicine and biology. It also includes finding advancements in technology for cost effective health and medical care. Our mission is to create both a social and academic environment for any student who is interested in combining engineering principals with modern-day medicine. We hold several social and educational events to unify students with these interests and offer them several opportunities to learn about the broad field that is biomedical engineering.
