CCNY FIRST Robotics Club

The CCNY FIRST Robotics Club is an undergraduate student club that will provide students with an experience to mentor high school students in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) while also obtaining a good foundation in various science and engineering fields. FRC is a competitive high school robotics competition run by US FIRST where students have to build a game-robot within a short period of time. Although this program is primarily for high school students, mentors are greatly welcomed to assist in team operations by sharing the knowledge they have of engineering or other related fields. In addition to this, we hope to enter ourselves in a college-level competition, such as the VEX Robotics College Competition, or participate in self-initiated robotics projects. The combination  of these two programs will allow participating students to have an opportunity to expand their knowledge of engineering and then share what they have gained to local high school students. We hope that by doing so, CCNY students as well as high school students will be more interested in pursuing a fulfilling career in STEM fields and more open to undergraduate research on campus.
