Graduate Art Society
The Graduate Art Society is an organization that promotes and organizes events and projects for the graduate students, the greater CCNY campus community and surrounding neighborhood, as well as select outside arts and cultural institutions. All activities of the club are both legal and non-profit in nature. We organize events and outings, such as gallery and museum visits, art symposiums, and social gatherings to bring together a wide array of art students of the college for interdepartmental discussion. Each year we specifically design and promote the following events: an Annual Open Studios, Visiting Artist Lecture Series, and the MFA Thesis Exhibitions. Our mission for the club is to effectively promote interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration, foster a nurturing community, and advocate for the needs of the City College Art Department student body.
